The aim of the exhibition is to display and promote Croatian Glagolitic heritage, Croatian language, history and culture through manuscript and printed material. The target audience is Croats outside Croatia, but also the general public. The exhibition consists of posters showing the pages of selected Glagolitic monuments (handwritten and printed). Each poster is accompanied by a description and a QR code with a link to the digitized copy.
In the initial phase, the exhibition presented four texts – the Baška Tablet, the Vinodol Law, the Roman Glagolitic Missal and the Glagolitic spelling book (in 2023). In the second phase, a presentation of the Prince Novak’s Missal, the Glagolitic Breviary, the Berlin Missal and the Croatian Missal was added (in 2024). The plan for 2025 and 2026 is to upgrade the exhibition with material from the 16th century.
The author of the exhibition is Ivana Hebrang Grgić (University of Zagreb Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences), and the exhibition was created in cooperation with the National and University Library in Zagreb, and was co-financed by the Central State Office for Croats Abroad.
