Meetings in Rome
On June 14, 2024, the authors of the book Their Faraway Home, Ivana Hebrang Grgić and Ana Barbarić, were in Rome at the invitation of H. E. Jackie Frizelle, New Zealand Ambassador to Italy. The embassy is also responsible for the territory of Croatia, and the ambassador has shown an exceptional interest in researching Croatian publications in New Zealand. Further cooperation on future research and promotion of the project has been agreed upon.
The project and the book were also presented in the Pontifical Croatian Institute of St. Jeronim (Pontificio Collegio Croato di San Girolamo) and cooperation regarding the research of publications of Croats abroad with regard to the fund of their library and archives was discussed. Research was carried out in several other libraries in Rome.
Visit to the National Library in Naples
During their research stay in Italy, Ana Barbarić and Ivana Hebrang Grgić visited the National Library in Naples. There they conducted research on publications related to Croats abroad. Catalogues were searched in for publications by Croats from Molise, especially those publications that are related to Australia (given the phenomenon of double migration of Croats from the Italian province of Molise to Australia, mostly to the area of Western Australia). New contacts were made and future cooperation was agreed upon.
Interview on Croatian Television – U fokusu
One of the authors of the book Their faraway home was a live guest on April 27, 2024, in the U fokusu (In focus) program of the Croatian Television (HRT4, 3:35 p.m.). In the interview, the work on the Croatian Emigrant Press project and the content of the book were presented. The similarities and differences of lifes and activities of Croats in New Zealand and Brazil were discussed, since the second guest of the program was Milan Puh, PhD, who lives and works in Sao Paolo and researches the topic of Croatian emigrants in Brazil.

Presentation of the book Their faraway home in Zagreb
On April 18, 2024, a presentation of the book Their Faraway Home was held in Zagreb. The presentation was organized by Naklada Ljevak and it was also a part of the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb. The presentation was held in front of approximately 50 participants in the Bogdan Ogrizović Library, with a quiz at the end, in which the first prize was a copy of the book. A text about the presentation was published in the newspaper Večernji list.

In the newspaper Universitas, no. 173, vol. 15, from March 25, 2024, a review of the book Their Faraway Home was published. The author of the review is Monika Batur. Universitas is published once a month as a supplement to the newspapers Večernji list, Jutarnji list, Novi list and Slobodna Dalmacija.
Glas Hrvatske and Globalna Hrvatska
On March 20, 2024, Croatian Radio broadcast an interview with Ivana Hebrang Grgić on the Croatian Emigrant Press project in Glas Hrvatske (the Voice of Hrvatska). The 45-minute interview covered all important aspects of the project, from the creation of bibliographies and digitization, to the promotion of books published as the result of the research. The shorter version of the interview was also broadcast on the Globalna Hrvatska (the Global Croatia) on the 2nd program of Croatian Television on March 21, 2024.
9th ICARUS Croatia Days
The 9th ICARUS Croatia Days conference was held in Osijek from 13 to 15 March 2024. As part of the conference, Ivana Hebrang Grgić and Nives Tomašević held presentation entitled The story of Croats in New Zealand through publications. The presentation presented the research that was carried out as part of the Croatian Emigrant Press Project, and for the purpose of publishing the book Their Faraway Home authored by Ivana Hebrang Grgić and Ana Barbarić, whose editor is Nives Tomašević. A book of abstracts from the conference was published.
