The 49 th assembly of the Croatian Library Association was held in Opatija from November 13 to 16, 2024, with a conference section titled Libraries and Community: Innovation, Inclusivity, Diversity and Sustainability. Ivana Hebrang Grgić and Ana Barbarić held an invited presentation entitled Libraries and library services for Croats in the diaspora: libraries and library collections in Australia and New Zealand.

The 3rd international scientific conference Migration processes between Croatia and South America: Consolidation of transnational networks of action and participatory research was held from November 13 to 15, 2024, in person and online. On November 13, in Zagreb, Ana Barbarić held a presentation entitled Creating bibliographies of publications by Croatian emigrants as a contribution to the preservation of written heritage. Ivana Hebrang Grgić participated in the Spanish-language panel on November 14 by presenting the title Publications of Croats in South America: creating bibliographies and digitization.

On Monday, October 28, 2024 at the Zagreb School of Business  a lecture was held on research into the publishing activities of Croats in New Zealand. The lecture was part of the Contemporary Literary Culture course taught by associate professor Ph.D. Nives Tomašević.

Croatian Radio – Radio Dubrovnik broadcast an interview with Ivana Hebrang Grgić about the activities of the Croatian emigrant press project. The author of the program is Jelena Obradović Mojaš. The conversation can be listened to on the website of Croatian Radio, and it is also stored as the first audio object in the Croatian Emigrant Press Repository.

Part of the program Globalna Hrvatska (Global Croatia) on September 19, 2024 (HRT 2) was about the opening of the exhibition about New Zealand writer of Croatian origin Amelia Batistich. Ivana Hebrang Grgić spoke about the author and in general about the publications of Croats in New Zealand (in the 36th minute). The show was broadcast on September 19, 2024 on the 2nd program of Croatian Television at 6:00 p.m. andon September 21, 2024 on the 4th program at 5:10 p.m.

In Vijenac, journal is published biweekly by Matica hrvatska, in issue 792 of July 18, 2024, a review of the book Their faraway home was published.

On June 14, 2024, the authors of the book Their Faraway Home, Ivana Hebrang Grgić and Ana Barbarić, were in Rome at the invitation of H. E. Jackie Frizelle, New Zealand Ambassador to Italy. The embassy is also responsible for the territory of Croatia, and the ambassador has shown an exceptional interest in researching Croatian publications in New Zealand. Further cooperation on future research and promotion of the project has been agreed upon.

The project and the book were also presented in the Pontifical Croatian Institute of St. Jeronim (Pontificio Collegio Croato di San Girolamo) and cooperation regarding the research of publications of Croats abroad with regard to the fund of their library and archives was discussed. Research was carried out in several other libraries in Rome.

During their research stay in Italy, Ana Barbarić and Ivana Hebrang Grgić visited the National Library in Naples. There they conducted research on publications related to Croats abroad. Catalogues were searched in for publications by Croats from Molise, especially those publications that are related to Australia (given the phenomenon of double migration of Croats from the Italian province of Molise to Australia, mostly to the area of ​​Western Australia). New contacts were made and future cooperation was agreed upon.

One of the authors of the book Their faraway home was a live guest on April 27, 2024, in the U fokusu (In focus) program of the Croatian Television (HRT4, 3:35 p.m.). In the interview, the work on the Croatian Emigrant Press project and the content of the book were presented. The similarities and differences of lifes and activities of Croats in New Zealand and Brazil were discussed, since the second guest of the program was Milan Puh, PhD, who lives and works in Sao Paolo and researches the topic of Croatian emigrants in Brazil.
